Meet Dr. Markus Niepraschk
Thanks for taking the time to check out our website and get to know me. I am passionate about orthodontics and strongly believe that having a talent for art plays an important role in achieving a great smile. Just as expensive paint or a fancy brush won’t make anyone paint like Picasso, creating a beautiful smile takes more than just having the latest technology or equipment. I enjoy blending my talent in art with my scientific education in orthodontics to achieve the best possible smiles for everyone in your family. All braces are individually placed by myself and are used to design the smile for both aesthetics and function. As a father of five, I understand the value of affordable treatment and providing the best for your family. Because of this, I work zealously to get the best results for everyone–a great value at an affordable fee. Additionally, I only recommend treatment for your child when it is necessary and best for the patient, not my business. I love meeting with and talking to my patients and am happy to answer any questions you might have. I look forward to meeting you!

His hard work and dedication to the field of dentistry allowed him to graduate summa cum laude and first in his class. Dr. Niepraschk continued his studies by completing a two-year orthodontic residency at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he was awarded a Master of Science degree. His research has been published in The American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

Dr. Niepraschk looks forward to creating local relationships and serving in the community.
Outside of the office, Dr. Niepraschk enjoys camping, hiking, swimming, skiing, woodworking, drawing, photography, and spending time with family. He and his wife Emily have five lively children: Mark, Amelia, Adeline, Audrey, and Rainer. Markus speaks fluent German and enjoys the outdoors. He is currently a youth soccer coach and looks forward to each new season. A roller coaster junky, he cannot let a summer go by without visiting Busch Gardens.
Dr. Niepraschk is a proud member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and Virginia Dental Association.
